In an earlier interview, the filmmaker stated that Hrithik is “nothing” in comparison to Prabhas. Rajamouli now addressed his statements, admitting that his choice of words at the time was incorrect and that he did not intend to ‘degrade’ Hrithik.
Rajamouli addressed about his statements on the red carpet of the New York Film Critics Circle Awards in a video obtained by Reuters and distributed by ANI, saying, “It was long, long ago — I suppose some 15-16 years ago. My objective was never to belittle him; I have a great deal of respect for him. It was a long time ago.” Fans praised Rajamouli for admitting his error.
