Sadak 2 Chrisann Pereira, an actor who was detained in connection with a narcotics case, has been released from a Sharjah facility. Since April 1, she had been incarcerated on charges of being a victim of a frame-up by two men identified as Anthony Paul and Ravi.

Chrisann was tricked into heading to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) to audition for a web series after the accused gave her a trophy that turned out to be laced with narcotics.
So, Chrisann was taken into custody and accused of narcotics possession. When Mumbai Crime Branch learned that Chrisann was a victim and not an active participant in the drug trade, they intervened and relayed the news to their counterparts in Sharjah. Within the next two days, she’ll be in India. Her mother told ETimes, “Without Crime branch unit 10, we would never have been able to file an FIR.” It seemed impossible, but with God and the prayers of people in India and throughout the entire world, our daughter will be okay.
Actor Chrisann Pereira, jailed in Sharjah since April 1 over a drug charge, washed her hair with laundry detergent and made coffee with toilet water in prison. Pereira, 27, recounted her harrowing time in jail in a letter. “It took me 3 weeks and 5 days to find pen + paper in jail,” the actress wrote in the note. Sometimes I watch Bollywood films with tears in my eyes because I know that my ambition has brought me here, and other times I watch them with smiles because of our culture, music, and the familiar faces on TV. I’m happy to call the Indian film industry my place of residence to be an Indian.
On April 27th, Pereira was granted bail in the UAE, and he is expected to return to India within the next two days.
