In the next 5 days, several states across India are likely to witness heavy rainfall and with a possibility of thunderstorms in several areas as well.
It has been predicted that for next 2 days’ heavy rainfall, along with thunderstorms over north-west India. The weather department has warn five northern Indian states like Himachal Pradesh, Haryana, Uttarakhand, Punjab and UP(Uttar Pradesh).

The northern parts of India are currently witnessing rains and generally cloudy atmosphere contrary to soaring high temperatures and heatwaves generally observed during this time of the year. So as per IMD, the weather conditions are expected to remain pleasant for the next few days, and after May 14 the temperatures will soon start rising.
The weather forecast said that there will be significant rainfall and snowfall in the western Himalayan region as well as sporadic isolated rainfall over the plains of north-west India.
While the final week of April, the India was able to enjoy unseasonal rains, the wet conditions have gradually disappeared through the opening week of May. However, the country’s eastern side can expect even a bigger weather surprise next week, with a fresh system currently brewing in the Bay of Bengal.
According to IMD, a cyclonic circulation is likely to develop over the Bay of Bengal around Saturday, May 6. Under its influence, a low-pressure area is expected to form over the southeast part during the subsequent 48 hours.
Therefore, there is a good possibility of the process escalate further while moving north towards Central Bay of Bengal.
