Almost six and a half years ago on the evening of November 8, Prime Minister Narendra Modi suddenly canceled all the 500 and 1000 rupee notes in the country. 2000 rupees came two days later. On Friday evening, the Reserve Bank (RBI) announced that it will withdraw the 2000 note from the market, shocking the countrymen in the same way.

The only difference is, 500,000 were canceled overnight. Amjanta’s hands fell on his head. In the case of two thousand, time has been given till September 30 for exchange of notes and deposit in bank account. However, it is not clear whether it will be canceled from that day or whether anyone will be punished if there is 2000 in their hands after that, it is not clear.
Despite this, the memories of demonetisation and harassment of common people returned to the country on Friday. The opposition has slammed the Modi government for the ‘absurd’ decision. A piece of cannon, in this way some fraudsters may have been warned.
Concerned quarters are concerned, the challenge now is how to close the line outside the bank. Those who have black money cannot deposit it. As a result, the hired person may be made to stand in line at the bank like last time. The apex bank has also directed the banks not to issue these notes from this day. They said that the printing of 2000 rupees was stopped in the year 2018-19.
This time it will be completely removed. But like the old and Rs 1000 notes, it is not canceled now. Valid for now on transactions. Those holding Rs 2,000 notes can conditionally exchange them at any bank branch or RBI regional office by September 30. If you want, you can also deposit to your account. This decision was demanded by the Modi government during demonetisation in 2016 to remove black money and counterfeit money from the market.
Not only the opponents, but the common people were angry with that decision. The move to introduce the Rs 2000 note has also drawn criticism as it will facilitate the accumulation and smuggling of black money. Even though the RBI has taken the decision to withdraw the notes on this day, the leaders of the opposition Congress, Trinamool and CPM have strongly criticized the Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the Center for this.
Starting from demonetization in Modi era to bringing GST in haste or withdrawal of 2000 rupee notes, they have alleged that one after another decision is in the name of Tughlaki Farman. Trinamool Congress leader and state Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee’s tweet said, “Then it was not a 2000 rupees scam. 1 billion Indians were cheated of 1 billion dollars. Brothers and sisters, wake up. The sufferings of demonetisation that we had to endure, are not to be forgotten. Those who instigated it should not be forgiven either.”
Taking a dig at Modi, Congress general secretary Jairam Ramesh said, “Like our self-proclaimed world guru. Act first, think later. The Tk 2000 note which was minted at the time of Tughlaqi Farman on November 8, 2016 is being withdrawn.” Former finance minister P Chidambaram claimed that this note cannot be a popular medium of transaction, he said at the time of its launch. Now it is proven true. In his words, “Tk. 2000 was like a ‘band-aid’ to hide the stupid decision of demonetisation. New Rs 500 notes returned. I won’t be surprised if I get back 1000 rupees now.
The entire cycle of demonetisation is complete.” CPM leader Sujan Chakraborty claimed, “This is what happens in Tumlaki regime. This is what happens in Modiji’s reign.” However, due to demonetisation, Trinamool leaders and Adani-Astanis benefited along with the BJP, he asserted.
Trinamool Congress sarcasm, saying “Tk 2000 notes are being withdrawn after seven years. Is this yet another masterstroke of modinamics?” Congress leader Pawan Khera’s anger, the ghost of 2016 came back to haunt the country on this day. He said, “The prime minister gave moral advice on the benefits of Rs 2000 notes. Today when (it) stops printing, where did all those promises go? What is the purpose of this step, the government must say. The government is running an anti-poor, anti-people programme.”
The net world has been covered with memes – “The unstoppable soldier against terrorism left us at the age of seven. He also played a major role in blocking black money in India. The CBI traced the house of Parthadar’s girlfriend by using this money chip.”
