The Women’s Asia Cup is a T20 or One Day International World Cup which is bodied by the International Cricket Council (ICC), the first being hosted in England in 2009. Basically, the qualification depends upon international ranking and qualification events. The first World Cup was held in 2004 in Sri Lanka, the champions being India.

The 2024 Women’s T20 Asia Cup is the 9th edition, the host nation being Sri Lanka. There are a total number of 15 matches amongst 8 competitors. India, Pakistan, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka being the members of ACC had already qualified automatically. The Women’s Asia Cup 2024 is presently taking location in Dambulla, Sri Lanka from July 19 to July 28 and the match features 8 teams divided into two agencies: Group A consisting of India, Pakistan, Nepal, and the UAE, while Group B consisting of Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Thailand, and Malaysia.

In the scoring system the teams earn points based on their performance in each competition, with the top two teams from each group advancing to the semifinals. The semi-finals will be held on July 26, 2024, with the winners advancing to the finals. The final will be played on July 28, 2024 at the Rangiri Dambulla International Stadium.
