Let’s know everything in detail about the FIFA world cup. Also known as the twenty-second FIFA World Cup. It is an international association for football which conducts and arranges football tournaments. The Men’s National Team of FIFA’ member association contests the tournament. The Country Qatar, it is the first Arab country and first muslim country to have FIFA World Cup held on by. The tournament is taking place from November 20 to December 18.
The FIFA World Cup 2022 is following the eight group format, from group A to H. Each having a total of 4 teams. Making it equal to 32 teams.
The arrangement of groups that would be performing in FIFA World Cup 2022 in Qatar are as follows,
- Group A includes of Qatar, Ecuador, Senegal, Netherlands
- Group B consists of England, Iran, USA, Wales.
- Group C comprises of Argentina, Saudi Arabia, Mexico and Poland
- Group D includes of France, Australia, Denmark and Tunisia
- Group E includes of Spain, Costa Rica, Germany and Japan
- Group F includes of Belgium, Canada, Morocco and Croatia
- Group G comprises of Brazil, Serbia, Switzerland and Cameroon
- Group H includes of Portugal, Ghana, Uruguay and South Korea.
This eight group formation would have matches with the teams among them and the best two teams proceed to the next round which is also known as the Knockout phase which consists of 16 teams playing for the next Round. The final round is scheduled on 18 th of December. The venues for each match would be around the location known as Doha.
