Jammu & Kashmir’s Sargam Koushal declares herself ‘a proud daughter of the motherland’, saying the Indian Beauty!
The Indian beauty won the title of Mrs World 2022 after defeating contenders from 63 countries. Her victory comes 21 years after actress-model Dr Aditi Govitrikar won the award.
Sargam suffered with anxiety, weight concerns, and was teased because of his slim build before turning to yoga to improve his physical ability, flexibility, and mental power.

Mrs India Inc also uploaded Koushal’s photo on Instagram and wrote: “Where there is unity there is always triumph. Sargam Koushal’s victory is being celebrated by all of our superwomen. We couldn’t be more excited to share Mrs. India Inc.’s women’s power with you.”
Shaylyn Ford of the United States handed the crown to Koushal, who defeated Mrs Polynesia to win the championship.
Mrs Polynesia was named first runner-up, while Mrs Canada was named second runner-up.
Koushal was born and raised in Jammu’s Bahu Fort neighbourhood, and she is married to Aditya Manohar Sharma, a Lieutenant Commander in the Indian Navy.
On Sunday morning, just after winning the title, Koushal contacted her parents in Jammu to tell them about her accomplishment in the international beauty contest for married women.
“Seeing my daughter as Mrs World is not just lovely but it is a dream come true. “I have wanted my daughter to achieve this milestone since she was a youngster, and now she has made me proud,” said GS Koushal, the pageant winner’s father.
Following Koushal’s victory, social media users in Jammu and Kashmir rejoiced, with congratulations pouring in from all directions.
“As my neighbour, I’ve known Koushal since the beginning. She has helped to establish India’s name on the global arena, which is a source of tremendous pride for the country.
“The residents of Bahu Fort are overjoyed with our daughter’s outstanding performance and international acclaim,” Rajeev Charak, a local political leader, told Moneycontrol.
The ecstatic father told that her daughter had not only received international acclaim, but had also made Jammu and Kashmir and the whole country proud. “Her perseverance, passion, and commitment have finally paid off.”
