Nitish Kumar wins the Bihar floor test against the RJD by 130 votes on Monday. He promised a corruption probe against the RJD.
Tejashwi Yadav vs Nitish Kumar: The Bihar Floor Test
RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav has thrown down the gauntlet to Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, claiming that he will halt Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s BJP in Bihar.
Patna: Speaking in the Bihar assembly before the floor test on Monday, RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav threw down the gauntlet to Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, saying that he would oppose Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s BJP in the state.
Yadav also criticized Kumar for leaving the India grouping for the BJP-led NDA, saying that the Janata Dal (United) founder took the oath as chief minister three times in a single term.
“I feel bad for JD (U) MLAs because they will have to face the public and answer. If someone asked you why Nitish Kumar took the oath three times, what would you say? What will you say now that you have praised the BJP after criticizing them previously? “We (the RJD) will say that we have created jobs,” Yadav said in the Bihar legislature.
Referring to socialist Nitish Kumar’s intention to join the BJP after leaving the opposition alliance he created, Yadav said “his nephew” will stop the BJP’s momentum.
Nitish insulting Tejashwi’s Parents
Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, who dropped the supporters of the RJD and joined the BJP, insulted Tejashwi Yadav’s parents, Lalu Yadav and Rabri Devi.
Nitish Kumar, Bihar’s chief minister, proved his majority in the state house on Monday by winning the trust vote. However, minutes before the vote of confidence, the RJD-led opposition walked out of the House. The Janata Dal (United) chief accused Tejashwi Yadav’s party of corruption, saying that “they were minting money.”.
In the absence of the opposition, Kumar won his majority by voice vote. He ultimately insisted on manual voting. He won the vote of confidence with 130 votes in favor and none opposed to his government. Nitish Kumar, who left RJD and joined up with the Bharatiya Janata Party last month, attacked Tejashwi Yadav’s parents, Lalu Yadav and Rabri Dev.
“Before this, his father and mother had the opportunity to work; what occurred in Bihar then? Would anybody dare to walk out at night at that hour? “Was there a road?” he asked in his emotional address.
“Kama rahe the ye log (they were making money),” he claimed, referring to former deputy chief minister and ally Tejashwi Yadav.
Kumar said that he was going to start an inquiry into alleged corruption by RJD leaders. “I gave them respect but was in pain when I learned about their malpractices,” he went on to say.
Nitish Kumar went on to say that he had returned to his old place and the alliance, and he would never forsake them.
Referring to the India bloc, he stated that he attempted to bring all parties together but was unsuccessful. He also stated that RJD leaders were seeking to take credit for JD’s work.
Tejashwi Yadav criticizes Nitish Kumar
Speaking in the legislature prior to the floor test, Tejashwi Yadav pledged to Nitish Kumar that he would block Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s BJP in Bihar.
He said that he considered him (CM Nitish Kumar) a member of his family. He said, “Ek aap jhanda le kar ke chale the ki Modi ko desh mein rokne hain, ab aapka Bhateeja jhanda utha kar ke Modi ko Bihar mein rokne ka kaam karega (the flag you raised to stop the BJP across the country, now your nephew (Tejashwi Yadav himself) will carry that flag and stop Modi in Bihar),” he said.
He also criticized Kumar, claiming that he shifted sides three times during his tenure as Chief Minister.
